Control Unleashed with
Emma Parsons!
This
6 week course will help to create a focused and confident dog that
can work around lots of other distractions, especially other dogs.
Class will be held Tuesdays at 8:30 PM. This class is not for the
"aggressive" dog, but for the "reactive" dog that loses his
concentration in a "doggy" type environment (no biting dogs, please)
- in other words, they lack self-control when they encounter another
dog. Games and exercises will take place during class to help the
dog practice attention and teach him to think through his arousal.
This class comes directly from Leslie McDevitt's "Control Unleashed"
book. Dogs and handlers who sign up for this course should have
taken a basic obedience training class using clickers; if it has
been awhile, or you have never used a clicker to train, you will
need to take a couple of private lessons to learn about clicker
training. Dates of class are: April 10, 17 and 24 and May 1,
8, and 15. Call us at 508-553-9300 today to register for your
spot, as class size is limited! |

Denise Fenzi is coming
to MasterPeace! Save the dates: April 14 & 15, 2012!
We are proud to announce that Denise is coming to present a
competition obedience seminar! A twenty-five year veteran of
training, competing and titling in obedience, schutzhund, tracking, agility,
conformation and herding, this OTCH trainer who has earned multiple
HITs, will do more than teach you to train your dog in specific
exercises - she will teach you to understand the work from your
dog's point of view and show you ways to make it more motivating for
your dog!. Details are now set, click on the
registration form for
more information and to register. Pre-selected demo dogs will
be used to illustrate Denise's points; you are welcome to bring your
dog and work him during breaks, but the demo dogs have been
pre-selected for this seminar. The first day will cover
Drives and Motivation for Obedience; the second day will cover
Problem Solving for Obedience, using the demo dogs to illustrate a
range of obedience problems. A light breakfast is included
in the cost of the seminar; lunch will be available on site for
purchase. Cost for the seminar: $150 for 2 days; $90 for
1 day. If you only attend one seminar next year, this is one
you won't want to miss! FMI, call 508-553-9300. |
